DESCRIPTION:This 2-day course is aimed at individuals who manage small projects\, along with their other everyday tasks and need a broad understanding of the principles of project management. The course provides an overview of project management and introduces areas where other\, more specific training may be beneficial. \nWhat you will learn: \n\nIdentify the various stages of the Project Lifecycle\nUnderstand how projects start – the business case.\nSet objectives.\nWrite a ‘term of reference’ for a project.\nRecognize the roles and responsibilities within a project.\nUnderstand the role of the project manager when managing individuals and teams.\nUnderstand the importance of a communication plan for a project.\nPlan a project using project management techniques\, work breakdown\, structures\, estimating\, resource loading and budgeting.\nIdentify the critical path through a project.\nUnderstand basic elements of risk analysis and management as well as change management.\nUnderstand the importance of tracking project progress and project review.
