DESCRIPTION:Duration: 1 day \nWe can deliver this course onsite at your workplace or via virtual classrooms if preferred \nOverview: \nThis excellent course provides delegates with an overview and introduction to BakerWrite\, a highly intuitive and easy to use speedwriting system. \nThe course is designed for those who wish to be able to take effective\, accurate notes at work or in everyday life. This one-day course will show you how to write in a reduced and efficient way to help save time taking dictation\, writing notes\, recording minutes\, or taking lecture notes. \nObjectives: \nTo learn the basic principles and theory of speedwriting\, and to gain a minimum speed of 40 Words Per Minute (WPM). \nCourse content: \n\nSilent letters and vowels\, phonetics and prefixes\, exercises\, and dictation practice\nMore prefixes\, use of superscript\, exercises\, and dictation practice\nSuffixes\, exercises\, and dictation practice\n\nBenefits: \n\nKnow and understand Speedwriting theory and be able to write up to 40 WPM\nThe flexibility and value of a trainer to guide you through the techniques used\nA workbook to use as a reference guide on completion of the course\nAccess to the dictation passages after the course to practice with\nOpportunity to sit the Speedwriting Validation test with Pitman Training to gain the accredited CPD (Continual Professional Development) certificate\n\nWho should attend: \nAnyone interested in taking notes at all levels in both work and personal life.
