Stress Management Seminar

The Stress Management training course is available at the Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Inverness Pitman Training Centres. Online virtual classes available. 

This course is for anyone who needs to learn how to manage their workload better on a day to day basis and how to turn stress from a harmful enemy into a creative tool.

Upon successful completion of this one day workshop you will have covered:

  • Self-awareness: understanding better how you react to stress and how prone to stress you are
  • What does stress mean: demands; constraints; supports and pressures
  • The stress balance: identify the balance between demands on us and our perceived ability to cope; distress
  • The stress response: how our bodies naturally react to stress; working with the outcome
  • Pressure and performance: how stress affects performance levels; checking for signs of too much or too little stress.
  • Personal attitude: how to improve performance through positive mental attitude
  • Stress at work
  • Time management: prioritising; effective use of time; managing tasks; relaxation; communicating; activities and interests
  • Developing a personal action plan

This course is designed to help you:

  • To understand what stress is and how to recognise the signs in yourself and others
  • To identify how thoughts and perspective influence stress
  • To understand your current level of stress
  • To plan to proactively reduce stressors
  • To understand how not to be a source of pressure at work
  • To plan to proactively reduce stressors

A funded training opportunity is now available to those facing redundancy or those who have been made redundant from March 2020 onward.

The National Transition Training Fund aims to tackle the rise in unemployment caused by Covid-19 by offering short sharp training opportunities for people to learn in-demand skills.

If you are currently under threat of redundancy, or have been made redundant at any time from the 1st March 2020 and are aged 25 or over, you can access an industry recognised qualification to help you gain employment.
